Khao Taomo Cave: Amazing Stalactites and Stalagmites

Khao Taomo Cave

The cave is a newly discovered tourist attraction located in Tayang District. Marvelous stalagmites and stalactites beautify a throne hall-like chamber in the cave. It is an adventure to trail up to the hill top to the cave’s entrance and go down on a deep steep ladder to the bottom of the cave. Different chambers have different exotic looks.

Stump-tailed Macaques

These are a rare species of monkeys can be found here at Khao Taomo Hill, They look wild, not naughty, but lovely to see. They might be walking on trees above you while you are trekking up and down the hill.

Wat Phra Buddhabaht Khao Lukchang

This monastery is built on rocks that look like baby elephants, which give it its name. A short stop to look around the rocks and temple building can be your new experience.

Wildlife Rescue Center

Started with few sick wild animals received from local people, the abbot built some shelters to heal them. Then, it became a center where people can visit and help.

Puktain Beach

One of well-known beaches of Phetchaburi is Puktian situated 10 kilometers south of Chasamran Beach. Driving along the beach-side road there are fine resorts to stay and some local fisherman villages to see. Puktain Cabana Resort and Causurina Beach Resort provide a tranquil atmosphere for the best retreat. Seafood is fresh and plentiful around here.

Pha Namyod Waterfall

This waterfall has been left untouched for tourists because its location is not easy to access. Besides, it is a small waterfall and there is no other attraction around, so tourists are not interested in visiting it. However, it is worth trekking to it. It is located in Khao Angkeaw, Nong Plub Subdistrict. The nature around this waterfall is still original. Its spectacular look gives it its name of "Pha Namyod" meaning "Dripping Cliff" because the water falls down the cliff and forms umbrella-like brims over the cliff and the clear water pond.
