Nong Ya Plong Punamron Hot Spring
Hot-spring Bathhouse : BATHING FOR YOUR EXCELLENT HEALTH
Karen Community Experience at Nong YaPlong is a fun activity although it is a small community. Biking around the rural area will be amazing. But if anybody wants to get a real touch of the Karen there, he should come to Wat Lin Chang, Puploo Village to see the home-coming festival where the people make merit and offerings.
Deep further inside the north of Kaengkrachan National Park, is situated Mae Kradungla creek. Some call it a small waterfall of cool and clear water.
Punamron Hot Spring in Nongyaplong District was established by Phetchaburi Authority as a tourist destination in 2001. The hot spring flows from the slope of Punamron Mountain. This makes it the newest tourist destination and is becoming more well-known among tourists. It is located on the Northern realm of Kaengkrachan National Park, about 35 kilometers to the West from Highway 4.
People have used the hot spring water in therapeutic baths to treat rheumatism and other ailments. The reservation eventually developed into a well-known resort because it attracted many health seekers all year round. Also, the hot spring area and surrounding mountains give a spectacular example of the forest ecosystem.
Today there are two bathhouses and a service center to provide visitors with hot spring baths and some other leisure activities such as picnicking, biking, bird waching and camping. Eight kilometers away from the hot spring to the West, hiking to Maekradungla waterfall can be an exciting activity for nature lovers.


To travel to Nong Ya Plong district, hot spring, and Mae Kradungla waterfall, take the road no.3340 from Phetchakasem Highway to the west. At Tha Takhro, take the provincial raod no. 3166 heading to Ban Tha Salao and then to the hot spring in Ban Phu Nam Ron. The waterfall is situatedabout 7 kilometers further away in the forest called Khao Phu Phlu, a part of Kaengkrachan National Park. To travel to travel to the Karen community at Ban Lin Chang, the visitors must go to Nong Ya Plong District town and then take the local road no. 2049 to Ban Lin Chang. This will be an adventurous tour.
