Hua-hin Beach Resort : Prachuap Khiri Khan


Hua-hin is the very beautiful beach with white sand situated approximatly 15 kilometers south Cha-am Beach. The Beach lies approximately 185 km-a three-hour drive-southwest of Bangkok. It is recognized as Thailand's most traditional beach resort. In 1926, King Rama VII built Klai Kangwon, his summer palace, at the resort, starting a fashion among high society to retreat to Hua Hin during the summer months to escape the heat of Bangkok.

Hua-hin is a well-established beach destination with full facilities for the tourists. Unlike Pattaya on the other side of the Gulf of Thailand, Hua-hin provides a quieter, more relaxed environment, with a typically Thai ambience. It is ideal for families or for those who wish to simply escape the bustle and heat of Bangkok. Many activities are available for the tourists, from just swimming or watching the sunrise through to fishing asw ell as golfing, water sports, horse riding, elephant ride, Pala-u waterfall trekking, and some other nature tours..

SAM ROI YOD National Park : Pranburi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan

Further down from Hua-hin to the south about an hour, Pranburi possesses many attractions: Pranburi estuary village community, fishery own, beaches, resorts, and national park named "Sam Roi Yod." In the park, wild animals can be observes, especially water birds and dusky langurs. Prayanakhorn Cave is the highlight site the visitors must see. This apectacular cave is popular for its royal pavilion built by King Rama V. There are many fine beaches along the coastal shore that visitors can spend their holidays away from busy town of Hua-hin.

 

 

 

Floating Market in Ampawa, Samut Songkram

Floating market at Ampawa is an old way of selling home produce from small boats. Ampawa is close to Bangkok. It is a part of the Maeklong River. Thai style canoes laden with colourful, succulent fruits, vegetables, sweets and meats, gently play their way through the canal.
    Tour activities include sightseeing walk along the canal, taste some food and fruits, boat-ride, firefly observe at night. Staying a night or two in guesthouse, homestay, or resort is available. The floating market runs only 4 days a week, Thursday to Sunday from 4.00-9.00 pm.

King Rama II Memorial Park displaying Thai traditional home is next to the floating market: open 8.00 am-4.30 pm, admission ticket required.



Ratchaburi Nature and Wax Museum

Ratchaburi is located north of Phethcbauri, just half an hour by car. It is known as the city of jar-making and Great Shadow play. There are many attractions to see, such as the Wax Village Museum in Photram District, Kho Bin Cave -spactacular stalctite and stalacmite.

 
                                     

 

   
Kanchanaburi World-war II Memorial Bridge

Kanchanaburi is a very well-know tourist attraction as it becomes the war memorial site to remembrance of the World War II. The River Khwae Bridge is the highlight of the visit. War Semetary, tiger temple, and floating resorts are also interesting to experience.
