Sugar palm trees are everywhere in Banlad. The palm trees are economically useful for the people. They make the best sugar that is used for making different kinds of dessert. Most people also know Phetchaburi as the sweet or dessert town.

These distinctive aspects of agriculture and way of life make Banlad an interesting place for agro-tours. Thumrong Village is a very famous place for agro-tours in Banlad. It is located just by the Phetchakasem Highway, 5 kilometers away to the South from downtown Muang Phetchaburi.

	Bull Race Bull racing in Phetchaburi is believed to begin here in Banlad becuase the local people are mostly rice farmers. They raise cattle and after their harvest season they race bull for entertainment. The race is very fun to watch. Twenty bulls are tied up in a line to run in a circle but only two bulls at the outer ring are competing --the outer-most and the second-outer ones. The stronger runner will win. The bull race will be held at night only to avoid heat during the day time and it is run all night long until dawn. Eventhough it is not convenient to attain but for those who like an unseen event should not miss it.
Balad's products from sugar palm trees are well-known that most visitors who buy as souvenirs for their family and friends. Products include fresh sugar juice drinks, authentic palm sugar, young palm seeds, toddy palm cake. palm seed in syrub, palm-leave hat, palm-wood containers, etc.

Bull-race of Banlad

Bull-racing is the local sport of Phetchaburi. It is held only here in Thailand. Bull-races are held at night only. It is full of fun activities very interesting to watch. However different types of bull-racing are help annually around the second week of February in parallel of Phra Nakhon Khiri Annual Fair.

Sightseeing tour, agro-tour, watching ox-cart racing, and circle bull-racing are uniquely Banlad’s. Produce of palm trees is well-known to tourists and visitors; such as young and soft palm seed, toddy palm cake, and palm wood souvenirs.
